Samra Bastian

Samra is the founder of Valley Counseling Center. She has been practicing in Las Vegas since 2010 and is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, a Licensed Clinical Alcohol Drug Counselor, and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol Drug Supervisor.  She specializes in Post Traumatic Stress and Complex Trauma resulting from childhood experiences. Samra is Certified in EMDR and has taken a number of advanced EMDR Courses including several for complex trauma, recent traumatic events, attachment wounds, sexual abuse/assault, violent crime, childhood trauma, substance abuse, and more. Having been trained in EMDR in 2011, Samra has worked with hundreds of EMDR clients and has conducted more than a thousand EMDR sessions. Samra is also Certified in Brainspotting Therapy. Having trained in Brainspotting in 2019, she is the longest certified Brainspotting therapists in Nevada. She has taken several advanced Brainspotting courses and is a Brainspotting Consultant approved by the Brainspotting Institute.  Samra is an approved Secondary Supervisor by the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapists and Clinical Professional Counselors and an approved Primary Supervisor for the State of NV Board of Examiners for Drug/Alcohol Counselors for state intern therapists.
