Projects Under Construction
Maverik Store #409
Valley Construction Co. has been awarded the Maverik Store #409 in Carson City, NV. This project consists of a New 4790 square foot Maverik Convenience Store/Gas Station on about 1.5 ac.
Desert Hills, Renovation & Improvements
Valley Construction Co. has been awarded the Desert Hills Renovation & Improvements, an LDS Church in Sparks, NV. This project consists of HVAC replacement with re-roofing, associated electrical, seismic upgrade, painting, parking lot slurry and sound system replacement.
Jet Ranch - Carson City Airport
Building 3
Building three is approximately 41,000 sf including a mezzanine area. It includes a storage hangar, storage lockers, and an elevated walkway down the south side, offices and conference rooms, 2 elevators and a pilot ready area. It has a 70' wide horizontal bi-fold hangar door at the west side and a 120' wide sliding hangar door at the east side. We anticipate completion of the shell of building three late fall, 2008. We are in the process of completing the design of the tenant improvement finishes for building three. The final completion of this building will be spring of 2009. Once completed, The Jet Ranch will be Carson City Airport’s largest private facility to date.Phase 2
A second phase of this project is being planned adjacent to the west side of the site. This is being planned as 12 hangars for sale totaling approximately 30,000 sf. Currently this project is under the design and approval process. The Jet Ranch project is a complete and total Design/Build project from conceptual drawing approval process to full turn key, by Valley Construction Co.
Locker Room Remodel
Valley Construction Co. has been awarded the Locker Room Remodel at North Lake Tahoe Middle & High School located in North Lake Tahoe, CA. This projects consists of demolish & remove existing locker rooms. Doors, windows, walls & all standards. Install new doors, windows, signage & improvements.
Bristlecone Family Resources
Bristlecone Family Resources is in a partnership with Valley Construction Company to build a 20,000 square-foot facility to provide quality, state-of-the-art addiction treatment services to adult men and women in northern Nevada.
Valley will act as construction manager to coordinate the necessary engineering and design for the new facility. Once the site is selected, Valley will coordinate all work acting as the general contractor to work with subs and suppliers.
Construction manager for the new Bristlecone Treatment Center will be Ralph C. Smith, Vice-President and COO of VCC, who has 20 years of hands-on construction experience on projects that have exceeded $2 billion in value.
We saw a community need and there was no hesitation to offer our expertise,” Smith said. “On a personal level, drug addiction has affected members of my family. I know our community needs the services, the help, and the hope that Bristlecone can offer those suffering from addictions.”
Smith said the goal is to build the facility at-cost or below, rallying other community businesses to join in this project.
B.G.J. Tenant Improvement
B.G.J. Tenant Improvement consisting of improvement to existing space. The tenant improvement consists of a reception area, office, open office area, and conference room. Scope includes - relocating existing walls, new metal stud framing with tape, texture, and drywall. New walls, new data, phone, and electrical to comply with tenants request.
Completed Projects
Fallon NAS Commissary
Remodel of a portion of the commissary at the Fallon Naval Air Station. This involves the replacement of the existing electric sign, finishing off an existing room – turning it into a training room and adding a portion of the room back into the store.
Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen
Valley Construction has been awarded the tenant improvement for a new restaurant facility called the Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen located within the Joe Crowley Student Union at UNR. The project involves demolition, concrete patching, cabinets, solid surface and stone countertops, caulking & sealants, doors/frames/hardware, traffic doors, glass & glazing, drywall & metal studs, FRP, acoustical ceiling, painting & wallcovering, HVAC, Ansul system, plumbing, installation of owner supplied kitchen equipment, fire sprinklers, electrical & fire alarm. The schedule is 49 calendar days, and the facility will be open for business on 10-10-08.
Antelope Elementary School Modernization Phase II
Valley Construction Co. has been awarded the modernization of the existing Antelope Elementary School consisting of approximately 2,400 total square feet for the Eastern Sierra Unified School District. The project involves demolition, rough carpentry, millwork upgrades, restroom renovations, door & window replacement, upgrade of existing finishes plus an upgrade of the pulumbing, HVAC, electrical and fire alarm systems. The project is located in Coleville, California and the architect is Aspen Street Architects, Inc.
Coleville High School Modernization Phase II
Valley Construction Co. has been awarded the modernization of the existing Coleville High School consisting of approximately 21,000 total square feet for the Eastern Sierra Unified School District. The project involves demolition, site improvements, rough carpentry, millwork upgrades, commercial kitchen renovation, science room renovation, vestibule addition, restroom & locker room renovations, door & window replacement, upgrade of existing finishes plus an upgrade of the plumbing, HVAC, electrical and fire alarm systems. The project is located in Coleveille, California and the architect is Aspen Street Architects, Inc.
Addition/Remodel for the Northern Nevada Sikh Temple
The Addition/Remodel for the Northern Nevada Sikh Temple is a building renovation that is approximately 9,300 square feet. The project consists of a sanctuary, classrooms, offices, gallery, kitchen and dining facility. Construction value is $1.2 million.
Raley's Store #103 Fresh Visions Remodel
Valley Construction Company has completed the Raley’s Store #103 Fresh Vision Remodel located at 1441 Mayberry Drive in Reno, Nevada. The project consists of upgrading and remodeling the entire interior of the approximately 34,000 square foot existing supermarket.
Storey County Construction Management
The Storey County School District has chosen Valley Construction Co., as Project Management/Construction Manager to assist in their school district facility upgrades.
The school district also awarded Valley Construction a contract to provide American with Disabilities Act upgrades at several school locations.
Jet Ranch - Carson City Airport - Buildings 1 & 2
Building One is 18,682 sf and has four hangars. One of these hangars has 2 of the horizontal bi-fold hangar doors. A Certificate of Occupancy was issued for this building on March 17, 2008.
Building Two has 26,400 sf and six hangars. A Certificate of Occupancy was issued for this building on May, 13 2008.
Buildings 1 & 2 are located on a 3.3 acre complex. With conditioned spaces with fire sprinklers equipped for future mezzanines, grounding ports and electrical for power cart and one toilet room in each hangar. At completion, The Jet Ranch will be Carson City Airport’s largest private facility to date. Project Completion is scheduled for summer of 2008.
