Dan Stewart has thirty years of construction, real estate and engineering experience. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University, a Master of Science Degree in Construction Engineering and Management from Stanford University and a Certificate of Completion for the Advanced Management Development Program from Harvard University. Stewart holds various Professional Licenses in the State of Nevada including a General Engineering "A" Contractor, a General Engineering "B" Contractor, Real Estate Broker and Registered Professional Engineer (in-active status). He currently sits on two publicly traded company's Board of Directors: Community Bank of Nevada (CBON) and Ready-Mix, Inc (RMX).
Stewart served as the President of the Associated General Contractors, Las Vegas Chapter, in 1991. From 1994 to 2003 he was president and CEO of Basic Management, Inc. of Henderson, NV. and each of its affiliated companies: The LandWell Company, Basic Water Company, Basic Power Company, Basic Remediation Company, and Basic Environmental Company. In 2001 The LandWell Company was named as the Trendsetting Firm of the Year by the Southern Nevada Chapter of NAIOP. In 2001 Stewart was named as one of In Business Las Vegas' Most Influential Men in Southern Nevada; in 2003 he was selected as Henderson's Small Business Person of the Year by Nevada Small Business Association; and in 2001 & 2003 was listed in Who's Who in Business Las Vegas and Who's Who in Southern Nevada Business.
He currently sits as a Trustee on the Nevada State College Foundation and on the Council of National Trustees for the National Jewish Medical and Research Center. Stewart was a Board of Director and Vice President of the St. Rose Dominican Hospital Health Foundation from 1995 – 2006 and was a Board of Director for Henderson Chamber of Commerce during that same period of time. In 2003 Stewart and his wife, Mary, received the "Others" award from the Henderson Salvation Army in recognition of Service to the Community.
